The Delta State Coordinator, “Core Delta Youth”, Amb. Uyero Erarawewho Jnr has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his emergence as PDP’s Vice Presidential Candidate, Atiku’s running mate for the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
Uyero Erarawewho Jnr who doubles as the Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Political disclosed this in a press release made available to some group of Journalists today being on Thursday, 16th June, 2022 as group commends Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his emergence as PDP Vice Presidential Candidate.
Recall that the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) choice of running mate for its Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was earlier this week narrowed down to three Governors from the South-South geo-political zones of Nigeria with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Governor Emmanuel Udom of Cross Rivers State.
Core Delta Youth Boss affirmed that the National Caucus of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a good decision to have listened to the voice of citizens of Nigeria who had seen the need to convince the party to pick its Vice Presidential Candidate amongst the three formidable Governors of the South-South region whose loyalty, leadership experience and wider acceptability to the party are second to none.
He stated further that the fact that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was chosen, considered as first among equals, amongst other contestants in the PDP’s Vice Presidential Candidate shows that he is humble, well respected, a great political leader, bridge-builder, loyal party man, Strategic, astute and grassroots politician whose political and leadership experience is capable of bringing victory to the party come next year’s Presidential general elections in Nigeria.
He further stated that, PDP as a party did not make a mistake by choosing Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as the party’s Vice Presidential Candidate, that the decision of the PDP NWC on Okowa’s choice as Atiku’s running mate will give the party landslide victory against the rejected Government of Mohammadu Buhari’s rulling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
He added that Deltans and Nigerian will see the need to work with the party having considered one of their sons worthy in that position. Also that, Core Delta Youth group will work with the leadership of the party at all levels to ensure that PDP clinches victory in the next year’s elections in the country.
