In the course of my interactions with some political aspirants from Ogwashi-Uku especially for the Delta State House of Assembly seat to represent Aniocha South LGA, I engaged one of my elder brothers in the race from the other political party, PDP and these are some of the opinions we shared.
May I meet you bros by way of introduction?
I am Rtn Patrick F. A Okei Phf. (Papa Asiagwa).
(1) My vision is to be a voice and a champion for the people of Aniocha South and provide a strong representation for their political, social and economic interest with the State government. I hope to accomplish this at the state House of Assembly by sponsoring bills that that will always promote their welfare and well-being.
(2) Your Career Path?
I am a successful business man turned politician, and as a politician I have held political appointment as Special Assistant to His Excellency on the Governor of Delta State on Community Development from 2016 to 2019. This office gave me the special opportunity to understand my local government and, indeed, Delta State better. In 2019 after the re-election of our amiable Governor, he reappointed me as Senior Special Assistant on Job and Wealth Creation and I was assigned to the Delta State Job and Wealth Creation Bureau. In this capacity, I contributed immensely in monitoring and mentoring young and aspiring entrepreneurs who were trained and established under the job creation program of His Excellency, Governor Okowa. Specifically, as a successful businessman, I deployed my experience in providing inspiration and direction to the trainees during the Orientation and Personal Effectiveness Training as well as the Entrepreneurship and Business Management Training. These are core training segments that span two to three days of life changing experience to these young people.
(3) What you can do differently from others if elected?
l will engage the people of Aniocha South by consistent town Hall meetings, organise programs that will ensure that I am constantly in touch with them because only then l can know their problems and challenges.
Secondly l will focus on lobbying and promoting bills that will enhance the quality of our primary Education for the people, because without education l will achieve little and l will use my social network to direct and lobby the interest of the Executive arm in this area.
(4) Your SWOT against Other aspirants.?
I believe that l represent a fresh face to the yearnings of greater number of our youths who are tired of recycling unproductive leadership in Aniocha South. I have established positive rapport with the youths of Aniocha South and this has created some form of bonding with them. They believe so much in me and that is one of my driving force. l will therefore not fail them, and this is with all due respect to other aspirants. l wish them well. Futhermore, I will represent our people in love and actions.
(5) Inter personal relationship.
As a member of Rotary Club International and by God’s grace the Charter President of Rotary Club of Ogwashi-uku Gateway in Aniocha South LGA, my calling is to serve humanity and to serve selflessly. I am the current Assistant Governor supervising Zone 28, and I have received several awards for serving humanity, to mention but a few: the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award of Rotary Club International. it speaks volumes of my personal relationship not just to the people of Aniocha South but to humanity at large. I am a core Rotarian who believe in human value and its worth. I am married with 5 great kids, 2 boys and 3 girls, My first son is a lawyer with a masters in Medical Law and Ethics from the University of Law Birmingham, United Kingdom. What I have given to ensure discipline and proper home upbringing in my family will speak more about my personality as far as I’m concerned because I believe that charity begins at home and that no man can give what he does not have!!

He is among the House of Assembly aspirants from the PDP, but he is humble man who deals with facts.
I urge Ndi Ogwashi in PDP to also give him their support.
The next time I read a blog, Hopefully it doesnt fail me just as much as this one. I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read through, but I actually thought you would have something useful to say. All I hear is a bunch of moaning about something that you could fix if you werent too busy searching for attention.
