APEDETT 2022 Investment Conference: Anyiwe To DTSG, Investors, Invest More In Manufacturing Sector.

….As APEDETT’s Vice President, And UNIBEN’s Economics Professor Commends DTSG on achievements in terms of Promoting The Drivers and Enablers of Investment.

The Vice President of Anioma Peoples Development Think-Tank Initiative (APEDETT), UNIBEN Professor of Economics has enjoined Investors, Delta State Government to as a matter of urgency invest more in Anioma land by focusing more on real sector economy, that is, the Manufacturing sector, while commending Delta State Government on achievements in terms of the promotion of the drivers and enablers of Investment.

Prof Anyiwe disclosed to newsmen in a separate Interview with some group of Journalists after the APEDETT’s 2022 Investment Conference held at David Event Hall, Anwai Road, Asaba, Delta State capital, yesterday being Saturday, 29th January, 2022 on the theme: “Appraising The Enablers & Drivers of Investments In Anioma”.

In the words of the World-class Economist: “The current Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and his team have instituted significant number of Investment enablers and drivers in Delta State”.

“The Anioma area of the State is yet to see measurable crucial investments arising in the areas of real sector, manufacturing sector, when compared to other parts of Nigeria. That is, why we are here to proffer solutions to the problems. We enjoin investors to come to Anioma land and Delta State Government to invest in Anioma nation, with specific focus on real sector, Manufacturing sector of the economy”.

“Delta State “ease of doing business” is much better than many other Nigerian states. Therefore, we employ investors to take advantage and consider investing more in manufacturing industries , agriculture and oil and gas in the Anioma area of Delta State”.

She also advised that, if the government can invest more on agricultural-technology and electricity then, most Deltan youths would become interested in engaging in agriculture, and this could curb rural-urban drift.

Prof Anyiwe also enjoined Anioma youths to embrace the already existing opportunities offered in the State through “Wealth Creation Office” and the “Delta/UNIDO Centre & Export Initiative” to foster their entrepreneurship and wealth creation so as to join hands with other stakeholders in developing Anioma area of Delta State.
