Delta State acting Chairman, Young Progressive Party, Barr. Bethel Oghenenyerhovwomen Kajovo, has extended her warm congratulatory message to an illustrious son of Delta State, Chief Dr. Ogheneovo Edewor (JP), a YPP party chieftain on the occasion of his conferment with double chieftaincy titles today being May 1st, 2025.

Delta Uhuru Media (News Online) learnt this today being on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from The Delta State Chairman, Young Progressive Party (YPP) in a press release made available to some group of Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital the legal luminary congratulates Chief Ogheneovo Edewor on his double Chieftaincy Tittle.

Delta YPP then commended the Traditional Ruler of EKU Kingdom and the Council-of-Chiefs for finding their son worthy of such double Chieftaincy Tittle. Delta YPP Boss had stated that “The honor is well deserved due to Edewor’s selfless service long term community services rendered to his community people”.

The party leadership also appreciated God for elevating Chief Ogheneovo Edewor while urging him to render more service, continue in his usual service to humanity. Recall that at early hours of today Chief Ogheneovo Edewor was conferred with the title “Olokun 1 of Eku” meaning “Wealth Never Runs Dry”, just as “The ocean never lacks water” and The “Obarisi 1 of Eku” which transalates in the Urhobo language as someone who is respected or revered, often a leader or influential figure some may interpret it to mean “King amongst Kings”

The statement by Barr Bethel reads in parts: “This development is a common is not a surprise to people like us that have worked closely with Chief Edewor, he has shown excellence in leadership and has always been a listening ear to everyone around him.
Both titles are synonymous with Chief Ogheneovo’s late father – Chief James Ogboko Edewor who was a life time President General of Eku and a former President General of the Urhobo Progressive Union”.

“This esteemed recognition is a testament to Chief Edewor’s remarkable contributions, leadership, and dedication to his community. As he assumes this noble role, we acknowledge the weight of responsibility that comes with the title.
