Our reporter was one of the media observers that graced the PDP Oshimili South party event basically organized to receive the APC decampees back to the ruling People’s Democratic Party in Delta State which took place yesterday being on Wednesday, 5th April, 2022 in Asaba Delta State capital.
Hon. Okpunor in his speech presented to party leaders who came to welcome him back to his former party, PDP has commended the PDP party leadership in Oshimili South Local Government, Delta North Senatorial District, and Delta State in general for opportunity given to him to find his feets back to PDP as party yesterday received him back to the ruling PDP party alongside his followers.
The Decampees, former Lawmaker in that auspicious event organized for his reception while affirming PDP dominance in Delta, commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for developmental strides in Delta State as he regretted his initial unwise decisions to had left PDP and joined APC which he attributed his initial decamping as ignorance.
Hon. Okpunor was received back to PDP by the leadership of People’s of Democratic Party, PDP in Oshimili South LGA led by the Chairman, Hon. Dada Okonji, Ward 6 PDP Chairman, Mr. Bukky Okocha, others who were present at the event included: A member of PDP, South-South Zone, Hon. Chuks Nwaebuni, Former Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Onwusanya, PDP Delta North Senatorial Officer, Engr. Chuks Obianukor amongst other party leaders to mention but a few that graced the occasion.
The Chairman of the occasion who affirmed that Delta North PDP leadership will always open his arms to every decampees in the localities, then welcomed them back to PDP, who doubles as the Delta North Chairman of People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Hon. Moses Iduh then tasked the new PDP members on loyalty and used the medium to encouraged members of the party in Oshimili South LGA to be steadfast and contribute their quotas towards the growth and development of the party in the locality.
