VAOP Congratulates Anyafulu, Ononye, Moubughare, Others As Governor Assigns Portfolios To New Delta Commissioners.

A group under the aegies of Voice of Aniocha-Oshimili People (VAOP) led by its National President, Comrade Sir Bieni Victor Emenike has commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his initiative on creation of new, additional Ministries to complement the existing ones while rejoicing with Barr. Bridget Anyafulu, Dr. Mordi Ononye, Prof Patrick Muoboghare on their emergence and re-appointment as Commissioners in Delta State.

Comrade Victor Bieni who doubles as Journalist and Publisher of Shocknaija Media, Delta Uhuru Media, Victor Bieni Media disclosed this today in Asaba, Delta State capital in a press release made available to newsmen by the group’s Director of Media and Publicity Comrade Joseph Ojete rejoiced and congratulated the new Commissioners as Governor Ifeanyi Okowa assigned portfolios to them.

The Development Activist while thanking Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on the initiative of creating new Ministries noted that the new development is a veritable tools towards widening the scope of the State’s economic sectors, finishing strong and in fulfilment of this Administration’s Stronger Delta agenda mantra.

Also, that the initiative is sene quanon towards the promotion of the dynamics of governance, accommodate present reality on 21st century economic agenda, digital awareness, globalization and enable citizens to reap the dividends of democracy and fulfilment of the United Nations, UN Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs ( UN genda 2030).

The Media Practitioner, and Founder of Delta Cultural Initiative (DCI) Worldwide, who is currently the President, International Association of Online Publishers, IAOP Worldwide described Barr. Bridget Anyafulu as one of the Civil Society leaders in the state, a seasoned Development Worker, one of the World’s finest gender Activist, who no doubt has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Civic space in Delta State, Nigeria and the rest of the World.

He then Congratulated all the Commissioners that made it in the second batch of the State’s Commissionership appointments by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, while he stated further that the re-appointment of the new Commissioners, Prof Patrick Muoboghare as Higher Education Commissioner, Dr. Mordi Ononye as Health Commissioner was done based on their past achievements in their various Ministries and in line with the Governor’s discretion.

  9. Isaiah Bozimo, Esq. – Justice and Attorney-General
  10. Hon. Henry Sakpra – Special Projects
  11. Hon. Jennifer Oma Adasen Esq. – Science and Technology

He also Congratulated other Commissioners who were appointed newly and those reappointed in Delta State by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, while he tasked them on using their various offices to support the less privileged ones, empower the younger generations; create employment opportunities for the Youths and Women for socio-economic and sustainable development of the state.
