…….YPP, DLM Says, Chief Edewor has Confirmed to them that he is still consulting Stakeholders, but will indicate his interest at the appropriate time.

Delta State Chairman of the Young Progressives Party, Hon Ufuoma Awiniki, the President, Delta Liberation Mandate, Comrade Edafe Otite has assured Delta Youths of his Party and Youth group’s leadership readiness to support Chief Ogheneovo Edewor if he decides to run for Senate to Represent Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly come 2023.
The duo of the Youth leaders, Hon. Ufuoma Awakini and Comrade Edafe Otite who hails from Delta Central Senatorial Districts of Delta State made this revelation to Newsmen today in Asaba, Delta State capital soon after a combined meeting of the YPP leadership and Delta Liberation mandate in Udu LGA, Delta State.
The Youth leaders noted that the outcome of their Advocacy visit to Urhobo born World Distinguished philanthropist, Development worker and Businessman, Chief Ogheneovo Edewor is that he is yet to say the office he will be contesting for, rather that they are well convinced that he will definitely contest as he still consulting Stakeholders.
It could be recalled that earlier in the Month of April 2021, the previous month, a Political Pressure group in Delta State mounted pressure on Chief Edewor to Contest for Delta Guber in 2023. The Youth leaders in an exclusive interview with our reporter then used the medium to call on Chief Edewor Ogheneovo to contest for Senate in Delta Central Senatorial District of Delta State.
According to Delta YPP Boss: “I can assure you that Chief Ovo Edewor will definitely run for office, however he is yet to publicly declare the office he is running for as consultation are still ongoing, so let’s keep our fingers crossed and remain calm and wait for his official declaration”.
“Our focus right now is to see that our party is fully equipped to wrestle power from those who have kept our state stangnated since 1999 and this is a very serious task that is beyond any individual or group interest for now”.
Leader of the Deltan liberation Mandate, Comr. Edafe Otite told our reporter that the meeting he had with Delta YPP Boss was to call on the party leadership- to put pressure on Chief Ovo Edewor to declare his intention for the Delta Central Senatorial Districts election come 2023.
In his words: “Our purpose of visit today is to call on you and the party leadership- to help put pressure on Chief Edewor to contest for the Delta Central Senatorial Districts election come 2023. This is simply because, Chief Ovo Edewor is an embodiments of courage, dedication and humility. We the Youths of Delta State see him as a mentor and we are ready to enter the battle field for him come 2023 and we will be victorious by the special grace of God”.
“Chief Edewor is a symbol of unity, a rallying point for the Youths, an idol worthy of emulation, a courageous leader with the right blend of experience, charisma and commitment to serve the interest of the people if given the opportunity”.
“We must respect a young man that has build a large followership across the state in such a very short time ” Comr. Edafe added.
Hon. Awiniki however called on Delta youths to brace up for the challenge ahead and be ready to be at the driver’s seat of their political destiny, he noted further that they have had enough from the old guards.
In his words: “I must challenge the youth in our state to brace up for the challenge ahead and be prepared to take over the driver’s seat of their political destiny.
Enough is enough for the old guards. This is the time to rally round Young Progressives individual like Chief Ovo Edewor and several of his kind in the state for the liberation of our state from the shackles of
both APC and PDP”.
“Delta State have been captured by the selfish political mongers who are not ready to give the youth a chance to take over the leadership of the state. Therefore, our party the YPP is open for all Deltans especially the youth, as it offers the best platform to pursue their political aspirations”, Awiniki concluded.
